What are the causes of the downfall of the muslim ummah
today?
In
Syria and Egypt muslims are fighting each others. In Palestine, Iraq,
Afghanistan and other Islamic countries muslim are being oppressed and killed
by kuffar, enemies of Islam.
We
have also been praying to Allah The Exalted to as for His help. But until today
Allah, The Almighty has not help the muslims in those countries.
Why
Allah SWT does not help us?
This
is because we ummatul Islam have turned our back from the Laws and regulations
of Allah, The Almighty we have deviated from the straight path that has been
left to us by our beloved prophet, Rasulullah SAW.
Rasulullah
SAW had said;
عن أبي الدرداء رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "لَقَدْ
تَرَكْتُكُمْ عَلَى الْمَحَجَّةِ الْبَيْضَآءِ لَيْلُهَا كَنَهَارِهَا لَا
يَزِيْغُ عَنْهَا بَعْدِي إِلَّا هَالِكٌ" (صحيح) رواه
أحمد
And I have left you in a
straight road that is so bright that its night is like its days and no shall
deviate from it after me except he will perish and destroyed.
According
to the hadith if we deviate from from the strainght road left to us by the
messanger of Allah, peace and blessing be upon him, we shall be destroyed,
killed and disgraced. So it means today we have deviated from this straight
road that is why we muslim all over the world are being oppressed, killed and
in disgrace.
We
must understand that this straight path is made of Al-Quran and al- hadith
which is composed of three branches of knowledge that is; al-Islam which is
discussed in Ilmu Fiqh, al-Iman which is discussed in Ilmu Usuluddin and ai-Ihsan
which is discussed in Ilmu Tasawwuf and tarekat.
Because
of the influence of Wahhabi. Majority of muslims today have left out al-Ihsan.
What is al-Ihasn? According to the hadith narrated by Sayyidina Umar RA.
Al-Ihsan means that we worship Allah SWT as if we see Him and if we can not
each this stage we must know that Allah SWT is always watching us.
So
from this hadith al-Ihsan is not good conduct but it is a spiritual exprience.
In Ilmu tasawwuf the first stage is called maqam Musyahada and the second one
is maqam Muraqabah.
We
can only reach maqam muraqabah dan musyahadah if we learn ilmu tasawwuf and
tarekat and practice it. Because majority of us have left out the third branch
of Islamic knowledge, al-Ihsan. Our Islam today is not complete that is why we
are disgraced, degraded, oppressed and killed by enemies of Islam. And Allah
SWT surely will not help us because we do not follow His Order in surah
al-Baqarah verse 208:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ادْخُلُوا
فِي السِّلْمِ كَافَّةً
O! Believers enter into Islam completely”.
So
if we want to be honoured and respected we must retrn to the straight path as
commanded by Allah SWT in surah Az-Zumar verse 54:
وَأَنِيبُوا إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ
وَأَسْلِمُوا لَهُ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ الْعَذَابُ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ
"And turn in
repentance and in obedience with true Faith (Islamic Monotheism) to your Lord
and submit to Him, (in Islam), before the torment comes upon you, then you will
not be helped.
