IS IT TRUE THAT WE ARE NOT GETTING ANY PROTECTION FROM HIM?
This illustration was published and has gone viral since COVID 19 first hit the world. Since then till today, I honestly feel annoyed, disgraced and sad because of it.
The question is have Allah SWT really forgotten us for it is as though we have not received His help and we have been continuously ignored? Daily we read and hear tragic news in the headlines. Deaths spans from COVID19 itself, to suicides, depressions, sufferings and household issues as well as post-vaccination deaths. Have not the prayers of Ulama’ or Religious Scholars been accepted and granted by Allah SWT?
Deny it as we like, the TRUTH is the illustration depicts a very true and grim reality. What has happened?
According to the Ulama’ or Islamic Scholars, the pandemic situation has to be referred to the people with the right field of knowledge as Allah SWT has mentioned in the Holy Quran:
أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ إِلاَّ رِجَالاً نُّوحِي إِلَيْهِمْ فَاسْأَلُواْ أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ
And We did not send before you any (Messenger) but men to whom We sent revelation. So ask the owners of the Remembrance (Dhikr, those who repeat the Name of Allah continuously) if you do not know. An-Nahl, Verse 43.
And We sent not before you except men to whom We revealed [Our message]. So ask the people of the message if you do not know.
This is what we have done from the beginning until now, adhering to guidelines and procedures recommended by scientists and doctors who are experts in the field. Yet the problem is still far from over, in short we still fail to curb COVID 19.
What is most worrying is today we hear European countries are again taking LOCKDOWN measures when previously we saw a ray of hope for COVID19 to end. We couldn’t feel happier and relieved when we saw spectators in football stadiums having no fear and abandoning SOPs. It seems the threat of COVID19 to mankind is finally over and there is a chance for us to finally live a normal life again especially after receiving 2 doses of COVID19 vaccines. However, this is far from reality. It is evident when a minister signalled the need for a third dose of the vaccine.
Now the question on my mind is: IF the scientists and doctors that we regard as EXPERTS in the field fail to deal with COVID19, then to whom shall we now turn to for help? We need to remember the clock is ticking. This means every second of delay in dealing with COVID19 will consequently cause problems to the people and the country.
If truly the scientists and doctors are unsuccessful in putting an end to the COVID19 pandemic, then who do we think will be the EXPERTS that can fully understand and knowledgeable in handling the pandemic?
