“Haul” is an Arabic word for a period of one year, however, in this context it denotes a yearly event commemorating the passing of a prominent individual or more specifically, a notable religious figure.
The day of Haul is usually held to remember the contributions and struggles of the said religious figures towards the society and and Allah’s religion which are exemplary for future generations.
The observance of the Honourable Tuan Guru Haji Ghulam Hassan Ali-Akbar Al Haj Al-Ghaus Al-Bikangi RA (YMTGURU RA) 26th Haul was held at his residence in Kg Bikang, Lahad Datu, Sabah on 21st January 2017.
Local Sabahans as well as those from Peninsular Malaysia also participated in the blessed ceremony.
